BACKSTORY:

- born in La Noscea, either Western or Middle; wherever it ends up being the V tribe (or part of it) was settled in there. lived there until she was five-ish, then Lhaiabsi decided to relocate to Limsa Lominsa with her twins and did!
- Lhaiabsi got a place to live and a job at a bar that was filled with fucking pirates because we're in Limsa what the fuck else do you expect. she usually brought Noara and Rhika along with her so they were surrounded by pirate talk and picked up a heavy Lominsan accent from it. after a few years the bar's owner decided to retire and Lhaiabsi had saved up enough to buy it, so she did.
- Lhaiabsi operated under a 'if you're willing to work for your pay then idgaf what you are' policy; she hired Lalafells, Elezen, Roedagyn, other Miqo'te and Hyur if they met the job requirements. generally the atmosphere in the bar was lively and patrons and employees alike were pretty fond of Rhika and Noara (who were put to work when they were old enough to properly help out).
tentative Calamity stuff
- when the Calamity hit, the town her father+siblings+various other members of the V tribe lived got totaled. Noara, her mother and her brother all returned there as quickly as they could after getting the news to help with salvaging efforts and support their family; during that time the bar was run by Greinbryda Kympfbyrmwyn (Bronze Wife, daughter of Champion Tree), a Sea Wolf Roedagyn who worked there as a bartender and bookkeeper and Grishont Brehoux, a Duskwight Elezen who was basically security.
- two of her half siblings (V'xehz Tia and V'fordhe Taqa, both younger by several years) had been killed along with three women of the V tribe and a number of other people who lived in the small town.
- they remained there for maybe two moons/months before returning to Limsa as there was little else they could do until their part of the tribe decided whether to rebuild or go elsewhere. when they decided to rebuild almost a year after the Calamity, Lhaiabsi committed to sending them a portion of the bar's profits to help with the effort.
- at some point between the Calamity and the start of ARR she got two facial scars (one across the bridge of her nose and under her right eye, right along her cheekbone), both from breaking up bar fights, and a white tattoo under her left eye.
- five years after it, Noara decided to go to Ul'dah to join the Thaumaturge Guild. trained herself out of her Lominsan accent after being told appearances are everything in Ul'dah and now has an almost formal way of talking. when drunk/angry/out of fucks to give she slips back into Lominsan and can be hard to understand because PIRATE TALK.
- had a bit of a rough time adapting to Thanalan and the atmosphere in Ul'dah but got used to it after a couple weeks. how can anyone stand all the sand in their shoes??? she just doesn't know.
- thm/blm storyline ensues??? she sees nothing wrong with these questionable decisions and questionable claims (even if Cocobusi is an idiot).
- enlisted in the Immortal Flames, reached Second Lieutenant.
- game plot!!!
- drops in to see her mother and brother whenever she's in Limsa and her father+siblings when she's in their part of La Noscea.

heavensward stuff SPOILERS BE HERE
- became a lot more cautious and bordered on paranoid when hiding out in Dragonhead and took some measures to be a little less recognizable at first glance: she cut her hair off short, glamoured her headgear to goggles (or sunglasses) to hide her eyes, went without her face paint and did day to day activities as a Dragoon instead of Black Mage. (in some of her more unstable moments she considered docking her tail as well but came back to her senses.)
- also had to deal with a lot of guilt and grief, considering the mess with the Crystal Braves to be in part her responsibility; she had personally recruited some of the traitors and worked alongside them and Ilberd without really suspecting them of betrayal until discovering Wilred's body (she also never quite forgives herself for recruiting him since it got him murdered; never lingers long in Little Ala Mhigo after that.) she mostly kept herself together for Alphinaud and Tataru's sakes at first but gradually improved sincerely.
- also worked diligently at the camp out of gratitude to Haurchefant and the people there and a need to do something.
- switched back to Black Mage when they received permission to enter Ishgard and strove to uphold a respectable image for the sake of Alphinaud, Tataru and House Fortemps.
- was incredibly livid when Alphinaud and Tataru were accused of heresy and took waaaaay too much glee in beating the shit out of Grinnaux and Paulcrain, but came to hold a fairly high opinion of Thordan and even Zephirin after the Archbishop's apology and admission of planning to swindle the Ascians.
- spent a lot of her downtime in Ishgard thinking about what would happen when they had a chance to fight the Braves/deal with Lolorito; horrible bloody murder featured prominently in these thoughts.
- enjoyed traveling through Dravania with Alphinaud, Ysayle and Estinien a hell of a lot; she was happier and generally in a better place during that journey than she had been since the disaster in Ul'dah. after dealing with the Moogles of Moghome she seriously considered getting Ysayle and Estinien stuffed Moogle toys.
- she was incredibly stressed out to find out Ravana existed on top of Bismarck but calmed down when Ravana fell. the dragons of Dravania also stressed her out some for about an hour before she understood the difference between Nidhogg's horde and Hraesvelgr's dragons.
- SPEAKING OF THE MOOGLES she excused herself to cry for like a hour after Kan-E agreed to help them treat with the Moogles; it meant a lot to have someone help her when she needed it.

TRIVIA/OTHER SHIT:

- Noara and Rhika are obviously not identical but they look a hell of a lot alike; its not hard to tell they're twins. both are tall for Miqo'te (max slider height for Sunseeker Miqo'te) and have the same heterochromia (light cyan/blue for the right, bright green for the left), and are darker skinned with white hair.
- rrrrrrrrrrrrelatively high opinion of the beast tribes. or the parts you get dailies from anyway.
- she and Rhika have different face paint but always use the same colour because it's their dumb sibling thing.
- HAS ACCIDENTALLY SET HER HAIR ON FIRE MORE TIMES THAN SHE WOULD LIKE TO ADMIT. thank u Jandelaine for salvaging the smoking mess.
- takes Triple Triad seriously, she will fight you if you make fun of it THIS GAME IS HARD YOU BASTARDS.
- enjoys finding ways to climb up on things she shouldn't be on or be able to get up on. because she is a cat.
- has a desk in her FC mansion room for the sole purpose of fucking on it. a++ interior design skills.
- despite being from La Noscea and raised in Limsa, Noara gets seasick easily.
- her Chocobo is named Biscuit and is Lime Green.
- bust is 68 on the slider, voice is #7 on the voice options for Suncat girls (or catgirls in general??? idk) (putting this here so i don't forget).
- patron god is Rhalgr; it was originally Oschon but Rhalgr fits her better than Oschon. birthday is the 12th Sun of the Sixth Umbral Moon, shared with Rhika.
